A Conflict of Interest

So I think I really rained on my mother's parade this past weekend. It wasn't intentional... really.

She suggested that we spend some time over the holidays volunteering in the soup line at the homeless shelter. Great idea, except for one small problem...

When I worked with the police department I arrested what I imagine must be at least 80% of the regular tenants there. Not just once, but often multiple times.

Somehow I doubt that my face is one that they'd want to see working in the line this Christmas!
